The only V8 I've driven is my dad 2005 Expedition. It's pretty lame for a V8. I have more fun in my 3.4... I'd love to get behind the wheel of a LS1 6-speed tho

Well, let me tell you. I've owned a lot of cars over the years and there is nothing like an uncorked, 327ci backed by a 2 sp powerglide and a 10 bolt posi with 3.73 gears. Oh, this was all in a car that weighed in at about 3,000 pounds with me a full tank of gas. I am referring to my 1964 Chevy Nova SS. Canary yellow with an all black interior.

That beast absolutely rocked! That is one car I really wish I had back.

Hey BC, ummm.... DOesn't your sig say live every day like it's you last?! ?????!!!!! And your Saying a V8 would not help you in that department? WTH Lol! Just messin with ya man! Yeah, from 98 up the Z28s AND SSs have the LS1 350 V8. I love my 99 Z28. All she has is Exhaust and a short shifter and I love it. But I'm am bored with it right now. I want get a good cam(and supporting mods) and see what I can get out of her after a good tune!! I love spinning at 45, while sideways shifting into second gear, get traction finally, and then getting a good chirp out of third! It's a blast! Definitely puts a smile on my face!!

What kind of tires are you guys running that's allowing your car to spin at 45+ mph? Stock LS1's are decently quick, but not "smoking" the tires @ 45 mph quick.

I have KUMHO ASX 275/45/17s on the back of mine and I can burn them off easy at 45MPH. If I run first gear out to 5000RPM then powershift into second gear I will get sideways easily. All I have done is exhaust btw. LS1 FTMFW!!
