The tires on my Wife's car are just some kinda cheap all season tires. They are not really a performance tire so I would not have her car out on an autocross track but they are hard enough that when I down shift and hit it hard they will break loose at 45. Not really a smoke show break loose but they come loose and I can feel the rear kick over.

Goodyear eagle f1 gs d3 downshift to second at 40-45 and yes you will leave tread on the ground, thats my favorite downshift

Do it, do it, do it, DO IT!!! You will love it! I can get 30MPG out of my Z! But I have to be in 6th gear between 80 and 90MPH! Between 65 and 80MPH it's about 26 to 28. In 6th gear.

If it wasnt for Insurance and gas, I would of waited for a decent Z to pop up around me. Im lucky with the Insurance on the 3.8 its like 80 a month or so. Your ride is pretty hot too.

theres not a very big dif in gas if you get a manual, but insurance, it depends on age, over 25 its about the same
