high beam issues!!!
#11
i can not figure out wat is going on with my high beams...... i try to pull the switch back to turn them on and it is not clicking into place like normal. The high beams wont even flash like they want to come on???? i checked all the fuses(even though none of them were really labled for high beams) and they r all good.... checked both high beam lamps and they r fine as well.... its a 2001 so if anyone has any suggestions please throw them out.....
No switch adjustment required if switch works. Easily tested by pushing it forward with finger till it clicks on high beams.
The Fix
1. Put steering wheel max upright
2. Remove rod from switch w long nose pliers. You may have to push switch a bit forward to accomplish this.
3. Place small piece of BALLED Aluminum Foil into Rod Hole. Foil piece just smaller than a BB.
4. Reinsert Rod back into switch hole. Foil piece consumes space so rod sits further out actuating switch perfectly again.
5. Pop beer and smile. Only takes bout half hour.

I had the same issue in my 96 camaro. Rather then tearing into the column which is a pain, instead of getting a new switch i just spliced into my fog lamp switch and boom now all six of my lights work at the same time. I get brighted quite a bit but i can see wide areas
