Well man, unfortunately I can tell you from the engine bay shot that you don't have headers or anything like that either.

yeah. Only thing i can tell is its got a bigger TB and MAF, 3 inch exhaust and Y, no cats and posi rear end.. thats about as much as i know... and i got it for 4000 lol. Honestly my step dad asked me "what if hes just pulling a fast one on you to get you to buy it", the way i figure, its got a good running V8, its got after market exhaust and sounds mean as hell and is faster than some other V8s out there its a good looking car (now that i detailed it) truthfully i dont care how many horses it has that was just a bragging point.. The car itself is pretty sweet even if it just has 275-300 horses and im happy with it so thats all that matters to me.

Nice choice Josh, glad to see that you took Tyler's and my own advice and purchased a newer car. Now there's no gurantee you won't run into problems, but at least you'll know it's somewhat reliable.

Fix that chip in the paint on the front bumper!!!!!! rofl

for sure lol... Im starting to get real fed up with mustang owners.. especially the mustang forums ones.. i guess im really coming to the light side.
Hahahahahaha..............notice how much I post now.

Honestly, you havn't seen squat on that forum as you've confined yourself to the V6 section, go into the 5.0 section and it's like a competition of what's the greatest 5.0 setup ever, what makes 87-95 5.0s so different (pun intended), and or who can be the most de de dee when it comes to the performance of other Mustangs and cars in general.

Go to the 4.6L section and its a lot of good info, with the competition of who has the bigger *****, while the 96-98 guys get pe peed on. rofl.

eh.. lol if u search around for some of the "mustang trash" posts in like o/t and see some of the stuff people say on the mustang forums compared to here ud probably be alil more amazed by some MFs... I was just trying to keep some level of maturity, but you know me can pass up a good argument.. especially if the person on the other line is just gonna insult me and not bring any facts to the table

wouldnt surprise me if im getting lied to,i never saw any dynos just reciepts... i was just relaying what i was told. however it doesnt have cats lol and it sounds nice, im trying to put together a video when its registered and insured. It was owned by this guys mom who won it at the raceway and it was already beefed up, she blew a gasket and her son who was a mechanic of a race team had it repaired and tuned. Ill get it out and run it and post the vid to see what you guys think.
Sorry JD for making 3 back to back post, had to make 3 separte points.[&o]

Anywho, Josh, the best thing for you to do at this point would be to take it to a local shop and have it fully looked over. It really sounds to me like you've been swindled and that car may be getting ready to fall apart instead of being built.

Then call around and find a local dyno. There is pretty much no better way to see what's been done to a car than to through it on the dyno. If it's kicking out mid 250s then you've been kicked in the nuts and tricked into buying the car, if it's making mid 350s, then yea, somethings been done. A dyno is also a great way to make sure everything is running fine as far as A/F and overall performance.

The more and more I read into this I'm beggining to agree, in a way, with JD, Nanaki, and Sideways in that you took the bait and that you may be in for more than you really want. So heed my advice, have that car inspected by a local reputable shop (like Firestone, Midas, etc.) for problems or potential problems, then if everything is fine, take it to a dyno and find out what's been done. While the track is a good place to see how fast "YOU" can run the car, it's a bad indicator of it's core performance as it tells us nothing on what it's capable of doing, because while you may only be able to run low 14s, high 13s, another guys may be able to run low 13s high 12s all day.

Speaking of insurance. I had progressive and when I switched to esurance it dropped my monthly payments in half. Not available in all states though.
