At some point you will need to get under there and see what you have incase you ever need a clutch. Sound like you uncle did not go cheap on anything. It could be a T56 with the Transzilla upgrades. I think the Transzilla had two configuration, one is the Vett rear mount and the other was for the GTO. It was also sold to the aftermarket. Anyone who spends 2K on a NOS controller would not have an issue spending 6k on a transmission. I would also guess you are dealing with a 383 motor.
Ever think about selling it? A kid could really get himself in trouble with a car like that. Heck I am 48 and I could get in trouble with a car like that

Yes it is a 383 stroker I have some pics of the car in my uploaded folder area I was told there is somewhere around $75,000 in that car the good news is I'm not a kid I'm 33 years old so I'm not going to do anything too stupid and no I don't want to sell it I want to learn stuff and have fun with it the car is extremely low to the ground so its kinda hard for me to get pic of under it

The ZF6 is a manual Vette tranny, engine mounted. The Z06 is a rearend mounted (aka transaxle) transmission. A quick peek under the back of the car will give it away.

And just cause you're 33 doesn't mean any thing. My dad is 48 and he still gets himself into trouble with his toys. Hell, he gets himself in trouble with his DD and it's stock Ram truck.
