Help with valve spring compressor (dual springs)
One of my valve springs broke so I bought a new set of springs. The springs I have in the car right now are aftermarket (not sure what brand or kind) single springs. I'm replacing them with Crane dual springs. The cam I have recommends dual springs which is probably why the single spring broke in the first place. Anyway, I was able to take the single spring off without any problems; but when it came to putting the dual spring on I realized I don't have the correct valve spring compressor for the job. My compressor looks like this: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...springtool.jpg which is only able to compress single springs.
I've noticed there are about a million different kinds of compressors out there; so I'm wondering if anybody recommends a certain one? I need one that will be able to compress dual springs with the cylinder heads still on. Thanks.
