i did not is there anyway i can fix it?

There's not an "easy" way now any more, you lost your reference point. All you can do is keep your fingers crossed and hope you didn't mess up your pinion gear depth. Sometimes guys get lucky, sometimes not. Keep an ear on the rear when you drive. If it ever starts to sing, it won't be a happy tune.

I ran into the same issue on my truck, changed the pinion seal but didnt mark it up correctly. Just make sure the pinion nut is torqued to spec, and thats about all you can do at this point.
