Default Help me judge this. buying Is this worth it.....??

Hi guys, there are very few 4th gen camaros in my country and they are very expensive, the other day on vacations I went to visit family on the coast, while going to the beach I found a green camaro parked on a not working car sale garage.

When I saw someone in there I asked that person about the camaro. He told me that it was a 94 3.8l v6. that the owner bought better cars and asked him to try to sell it a few years ago and he have forgotten that car on there. He told me that the car have had only 1 owner and the car was running when entered the garage. Actually it have been stoped for about 2 years and of course is not working. The baterry and some plastic pieces are missing but all the important seems to be in there, there were some rust and a lot of rat excrement. the trans fluid and oil level seemed ok.... the interior seems ok too but with boxes and dirty shoes all over the seats... probably they are a bit rotten.

the exterior seemed very well, with none visible hit and seemed to have the original paint.

Now the question is..... is worth buying it??... Maybe I could get it very cheap (probable 1000usd) and a good shape 4th gen camaro costs about 16000 usd in my country but buying parts on US and bringing them here costs about twice the part. Do you think I will need a lot of money to make it.... is there easy to get 4th gen new parts on us?? are the cheap or expensive??

Well I dont know how many miles does it have becausse I just checked it quickly while the garage guy was talking me..... I have the phone number of the owner. I dont have any pics but I am going to that city again in Feb to drive my actual car(98 sebring jxi) back to home.... I just want to know if I should try to get that car in Feb... I am much more worried about getting parts for 1994 camaros.

BTW: Laws ban anyone to bring used cars to Ecuador.... thats why here used cars are stupidly expensive.....

Well if you can get it cheap for like $1000 it might be worth fixing it up if you can sell it for $16,000.

The only thing that isn't right though is the 94s never came with a 3.8 V6, '95s got them for Cali cars but the rest still had the 3.4 till '96.

I think that is a SS scope that would have only been on a SS from the factory. there is a a 96 RS that would have had a different spoiler but stock it should look like this

I think 96 was the last year for those rims. It is possible it is a 95 3800 but very unlikely. 3800 is a much better car because any 96-2009 3800 motor can be used as a replacment.

Also check the taillights. If it has 3 color taillights like that picture (red, yellow, clear), it's at least a 97 model (someone correct me if I'm wrong). They used just red and clear for 93-96. And if it has those taillights it's most likely a 97 - up and it would have the 3800 engine. Another quick clue anyways. Best bet is to open the hood doors and glovebox, and look at the stickers. Take some pics. Post them here.Lots of knowledgeable folks on here ready and willing to help you out.

You have to be carful of that because light color can be defined by country the car was sold in.

Easiest thing to do is look at the 10th digit of the VIN and tell us what it is. That'll verify the year.

As for the car itself, it seems like a lot of cleaning needs to be done to it but if the rest of the car is fine, then I'd find it worth while to buy and replace the interior.
