Default Help

I've seen these questions answered but I wanted to ask for myself... I'm getting this 2002 camaro 3800 v6 and was told the only thing wrong was that it needed the radiator flushed and a oil change and said there was oil in the radiator I don't know how much is in it I haven't went and looked for myself yet but what's the best case scenario and worst case scenario I don't want to waste my money on a car that could blow up the next week I've seen where it could be blown head gasket or cracked head to burned up oil cooler intake leak but what's the best chance it could be?
-Thank you in advance

It is not oil in the coolant. The Dex cool Coolant GM used started it life orange but over time it turns a dark brown. We get people in here all the time thinking they have oil in their coolant but they don't. So a radiator flush and oil change sounds like I good start.

Unless you have a history on the car it might be good to change the fuel filter and pressure test the coolant systems. These 3800 are prone to intake gasket failure and if it has never been done on this car it might need it soon.
