Default hello fellow 'maros!

yall prolly dont remember me from while back I got the camaro in my avatar but it was loads of problems and I ended up having to get rid of it. Then I got a 98 camaro v8, and the fuel pump on it also went bad WTH then pressure regulator, then battery, then altenator, then sparks and I ended up getting rid of it too.

But now I found a 2001 MARO!!!!! v6 but i like it but it doesnt haev t-top But my frand said that 2001 and up camaros start getting more reliable, so I am hoping it will do me good.

I am also selling my mustang on craigs so If i get this MARO!!!! then I will be happy to see u again!!! the great thing i love about camaros is that even if its a v6 its a MARO!~!~!! but in the mustang world everyone looks down if its not a v8

Remember with 10+ year old cars it is less about "how good" the car is and more about "how good" the owner is.

In my book the Chevette is one of the worst cars GM ever built, I know where there is an 84 I would trust to drive across the country. The 3800/ 5 speed is considered one of GM most reliable drive trains GM ever built but that does not mean every 3800 5 speed is dependable.

I cannot think of any major changes in mechanical design between the 99 and 02 for 3800’s. Heck there is very little change from 96 to 2002. Fuel pumps are one of issues that is tuff to predict but is someone runs a car low on fuel a lot it will hurt the pump. Running out of fuel can kill it outright. But thats been a GM issue since they started putting pumps in tanks not a Camaro design issue

lol, yep a 15 year old car that had not been maintained can have issues. sure sounds like you got a couple camaro's that the previous owners had run till things started failing and then sold em. not common but best to get some maintance records with car.

That's the thing -- the older the car gets, the more you have to keep up with the maintenance, or soon you will have a HUGE laundry list of issues to address and start to hate the car. What Gorn said is true.

It's a Camaro, not bone marrow!
