hello 98 camaro 3.8
First time I have heard this. I run MSD wires on both my RS & SS, so far so good. RS has had them for at least three years, SS since last June and ran a 13 sec 1/4 with bolt-ons on a Vert -- running great.
You need to qualify how they are "junk", and quantify how a car "runs like crap". Words are meaningless without measurements, and you may have had other issues that you're not disclosing or did not even realize yourself. I am always a skeptic when people say things without facts to back them up.
The OP should do plenty of homework.
I always try to.

With low resistance plug wires comes an increase in RFI (radio frequency interference) which can give you a radio speaker whine/whistle noise, and EMI (electromagnetic interference) which can interfere with your on-board electronics. Don't buy into the low resistance is the way to go way of thinking. That can work great for a race car that has nothing to be interfered with, but not so much with current cars with electronics up the wazoo. Not to mention, contrary to manufacturers claims, independent tests have shown that low resistance wires give little to no increase in h.p. For a relatively stock street car, there's no need for low resistance wires, plus the negatives could outweigh any possible positives.
Here's a good resistance comparison test, but again, less isn't necessarily better:

my question what would make the car still backfire and shut off if theres no codes besides o2 sensors so I bought plugs wires and coil packs and crankshaft sensor think that should work hopefully otherwise might have a fuel pump goin out aam I rite 159k 3.8 auto 98 Camaro
