Default heater hose assembly

part number 10140811 is the number for the assembly i need, but according to my dealer no dealer in the country has them in stock. what a surprise 1994 parts are out of stock/production .

My dad and I were changing out the lines in the cooling system and decided the metal lines on the heater hoses were a little to corroded to mess with.

I am assuming there is some reason GM made a portion of those heater lines metal...maybe heat from exhaust component related, so would the next best thing to do be replace the assembly with stainless steel braided lines instead of plain old rubber?

start calling junkyards, there are a bunch of lt1/v6 cars in junk yards now, they're bound to have what you're looking for

not sure if thats just the replacement hose or if its the whole assembly. best to call. i see new 3.8 ones, 3.4 parts can be a pain to find.

I think the only thing the dealer has are the individual hoses not the whole assembly. Will the 3.8 assembly work on the 3.4?

Did you ever find one? I tried to order one from gmpartsgiant before i read this. I'd be surprised if they can come up with one, but i guess I'll find out.

i believe there were a few on ebay for around $90, i decided not to mess with it, the current set isnt where the leak was coming from.
