Default Headlight adjustment?!

What exactly should I set my headlight adjustment to on? I have a 95 Camaro and I'm tired of being able to see only the ground 5 feet in front of me but i don't want to set them too high and blind other ppl. I know there's the bubble on the top for adjustment purposes. Thanks!

I didnt realize those glass bulbs have adjustments. on the ls1 cars theres two hex looking adjuster screws on the housing one for vertical and one of horizontal movement. easiest way i found as follows:

park the car on a level ground about 2-3 feet from a wall (garage door maybe?)
take some tape and make a mark sort of shaped like a plus sign in front of the two headlamps- make sure they are even to the ground and to the car
put your headlights (lowbeam) on
now go adjust until both of them are are at the center of each one of the plus signs,

good luck

i have a 97 when i first got i had the same problem could only see a few feet in front of me bring the car to a level are most streets are not level by the way i went to the school parking lot down the block from me then adjust them so that the bubles land dead center on the level attached to the headlight
