Default Headers RED hot

I just got done doing a cam/head/rocker/spings/head install and started it tonight. Whent well for about 3 minutes and then i noticed the driver side header was glowing hot. Im thinking maybe a exhaust valve is staying open? what do you guys think.

Well usually that happens after installing a new cams or headers, you have to break it in. You need air to flow through your headers.

If it still continues, the you need to check if your engine is running lean, or the ignition timing is not late.

And the btw my honda has 1.7 litres

Check fuel trim on the respective bank. Could be running lean.

How do i check fuel trim? It is only out of the #5 exhaust port that it glows.

You check fuel trims with a scanner or data logger.

Im almost 100% sire its timing. Its so far one way (i wont remember what way) that it spits unspent or still burning fuel out. It happened to my dad, changed the timing and that was it.

It starteda little hard too and i suspected timing, I thought ti was suppose to set the timing itself? When i put it back togeather i made sure i had both dots on the gears at 6' and 12'o'clock
