ws6store.com

if you get aftermarket headers you will also need a y pipe; some brands come with y pipes, others don't. It isn't nessecary to have all the same brand, I have BBK headers and ORy and SLP catback, no issues there.

For the best results, go with the same brand. Each company makes their equiptment to work best with their own products. I've seen the best results by far with SLP. They specialize in LS1s.

shop the usual suspects but be sure to also shop streetsideauto.com

i begin my searches using nextag.com as it walks a lot of the on-line retailers

i was told that Y pipes cut your horse power... and that each pipe should be separate. So my question now would be is there anyone that makes X pipe? or do i have to make my own?

Fbodies don't run with a X or H pipe setup because it is not needed, nor is there any real room. The y pipe is fine for a stock cube LS1, even with a pretty wild cam the y pipe can flow plenty well. There are only two options for true duals at this point; Kooks and TSP. The latter is really just a dumped x pipe while the Kooks is madly expensive.

$1200 or so for a stainless steel full exhaust isn't expensive for what it is. From Maryland Speed people are getting a full package for headers/TDs for $2k +/-.

do a search and listen to some tracks of camaro's with different setups. would not trade my kooks and corsa exhaust for anything. speed engineering performance has some good deals as does maryland speed, i got mine form them.

Go from the bottom if you can. That's how I did it and it was easier than doing it from up top. Only problem is you have to get the car up really high to go from the bottom.
