Ok i have a chance to get my hands on a free y pipe and cat back of a firebird t/a. the question i have is the y pipe is made by hooker, does that mean i have to buy hooker headers. and do i need to get ones with a.i.r.? because my budddy told me i should just take the a.i.r. off any ways. will taking th a.i.r. off hurt any thing or not?

what yr ta was it from? since u have a 97 like me it has the two cats on it. and if u want just a bolt on and fit. it should b from the same yr or even a 96 will work.. as for the headers any headers will work but it may b better to just get the same brand. normally same brand stuff works better together. Now as for the A.I.R if u do get rid of it u need to have the comp reprogramed so the o2 sensers work right or it could lean u out to much
