Default Header issues...

I'm having trouble getting headers to seal up. I'm trying to take the passanger side header out to mange sure the flange it not bent and noticed there is a tube running from the back of the intake to the header. Can I permanently remove that tube and make a delete plate for the intake? Or does it need to stay connected? Most of the pollution crap is missing already. Oh it's a 94 z28 with a 6 speed

I believe that tube is to the EGR valve. You will need to block off the EGR valve if you do not hook it back up. Search EGR delete on a LT1. My 93 has it deleted.

You'll have to plug the pipe on the header and where the EGR pipe sat on the back of the intake. Fair warning, getting a block off plate in there while the intake is in the car is a PITA.

Did you make sure you used Percy's Seal-4-Good header gaskets? If not, I'd order some right now.
