head gaskets

Default head gaskets

I wanna replace my head gaskets on my 95 z/28. LT1. Is there a high performance gaskets i could get? will it make a difference if i do?

you can go with a thinner one # 12553160 but you should have the heads checked for any warpage. thinner gasket will increase compression a tad. could also have heads shaved a bit to bring it up more. if high miles engine i would not recomend a thinner gasket or shaving much off heads.

I'm curious why you'd want to replace the head gaskets if they're not bad?
