I have a 2001 v6, as of Sunday I got on the highway and it stalled out. It was trying to crank but sounded like no fuel was getting to the engine. about 2 hrs later after I got towed, it cranked up again. I drove a good 80 miles with no prob but now its stalling again. Im guessin it could maybe be the fuel filter or pump. any suggestions??

 

Sounds like the pump is on its way out, check for fuel pressure when it will start and when it won't and post the results.

 

i just tried to start it and it won't, just started clicking on me, looked like the batt gauge it around 8 right now

 

well throw her on the charger so she can crank good. If you think its the fuel pump... cycle the key three to four times before you try to start it. meaning turn key on without cranking engine then to off postion then back on

 

was a ses or check engine light coming on when stalling?

 

When it won't start, try tapping the bottom of the gas tank. If it starts, you know to replace the fuel pump. Should be all one unit with the sending unit.
