Default Has anyone attempted to replace a parking brake??

Mine is a 98 Camaro, the P brake is seized up andheavily wornand needs replacing. Has anyone attempted this and if so how difficult a task is it?

Of note..the part which is worn is not simply replaceable on its own, instead you must buy the full assembly (dealer only) which runs around $400. I may check with a salvage yard though.

At this point just looking for some insight.

Thanks.

It should'nt be that hard to replace, but then again I don't think anything is that hard because I work on these cars everyday. To me pulling a motor is no big deal, so take what I think is hard with a grain of salt.
