If hes ASE certified and its taken him that long he obviously isnt a hands on kinda guy. I replaced my optispark in 3 hours. of course i had air tools and a lift at work (im a mechanic) but it simply wasnt a hard job at all. yeah you have to take off the water pump which is 8 bolts total i think, and then the air pump which is 3. the radiator and fans come off in 2 seconds. everyone makes this more complicated than it is. just take your time as other guys said. an enjoy the beer and tunes!
Well.. He had to replace my radiator, cooling system, heater core, water pump and optispark... but hes had it for almost 10 days... including two weekends... im starting to get pissed...

Sounds more time consuming than hard. I would knock it out and save the money.

ugh yeah but the radiator takes 2 minutes to take out, and all the rest basically comes out when u do this job, cept the heater core, which idr if u gotta pull the dash or if u can get it from the engine bay on these... i kno there are some bolts like u can pull it out in the engine bay but not sure... sounds to me like hes having some fun w ur car

well i work for a parts store and i know that sometimes the shops around town arent smart enough to get all of the parts before hand so you they end up waiting on a part to get ordered, so if they start on like a friday and they forgot something they would probably be until the next tuesday to get it.
