Default GU5 Rear Axle Performance

I've noticed my 1994 Camaro(LT1 conversion) has the GU5 RPO code which means "Rear Axle Performance." Just what is this option?

Thanks

Doesn't it also mean he has a limited slip differential?

I think the only ones that didn't come with one, were the GU4 (3.08) V6 Camaros. That is if I'm remembering correctly.

I just thought I would confirm what Stan is saying...all Z28, SS and RS (or Y87) cars came with a posi. So only the base (3.08, GU4) cars came without it.
