Gps Mount Solutions?

Default Gps Mount Solutions?

The girlfriends birthday is coming up soon, and one of the things I want to do for her is find a way to mount her phone for when she's driving.
She uses an htc evo shift, so it's sort of a thick phone. Listens to music/gps ect.

Has anyone found a really good mounting solution for our cars? She has a 93 Camaro. There's a billion and one universal mounts, but I thought I'd ask before I had a bad experiment.

You usually can't go wrong with a universal mount, I would go for a more expensive one though. A lot of the cheaper ones on the market are made of cheap chinese plastic.

I use ProClip mounts in both my Camaros for iPhone -- but they have mounts for most all phones and charging solutions:

I like the idea of mounting a dedicated GPS in the large cassette cubby that GM thought was such a great idea. As for the phone, use a holder that can adjust to where ever you need and mount it kinda inside the cubby and have the phone stick out just a little so you can access it easy with out being a distraction.

I had an iphone in a universal mount in the cassette cubby area. It fit perfect! Try that. It looks super stealthy too

All, don't do something foolish -- a screen, be it a smartphone or GPS -- you want it as close to, or above your speedometer gauge -- preferable above the dash so you can keep your eyes on the road as much as possible. It's a safety and usability concern. Proclip also sells extension plates so you can raise your device higher than the mounting point. Of course there's always suction cup mounts...

Ordered something pretty interesting today. Good or not, I'll post my results for you guys. I took the direction you posted about liberty. I want it up high so I don't have to look low while driving.
