Is this a good idea or just stupid?

Here's the deal, my search for a winter car is still on. I've got it narrowed down to a couple old Ford F150's and F100's, an old Toyota truck (about the size of an S-10), and a 89Toyota Supra. The Supra is a non-turbo car so I can pick it up pretty cheap, and for some reason have always loved the 80's Supras. Anyway, my import buddies all tell me that it's too damn expensive and not worth the effortto take a non-turbo Supra and convert itover. So I was thinking, several years down the line, assuming things go as planned, I would like to stick an LS7 or something really beefy into my WS6 and thought I might possibly then take my LS1, rebuild it, and stick it in the Supra. What I'm going for with the Supra is simply to have a small fast little car that can take some real punishment, especially when I'm ripping up some curvy country roads. Just wondering if sticking the LS1 would be worth the trouble of matching up a drivetrain, if it would **** up the weight distribution, etc. I've got another guy telling me to just save my time and money and turbo/supercharge my WS6. I was told that I can run up to 15 pounds of boost with the stock internals. Anyway, just thought I'd float that idea and get your take on the best course of action.

The SB swap is comon in the MK3 supra. I see alot of older 350s going into them. Its not the best handling car too start out with but the LS1 probaly isnt that much more than the stock engine maybe 75 pounds and you can probaly make some of that up by keeping the AC off of it.

You won't run 15 psi on a stock LS1, at most you can run about 8psi with water/meth injection, to run more boost even if your motor would take the power you'd have to run race gas or have the compression lowered.

Why not get the supra and leave it non-turboed or swapped? it will still be a decent little car to get around until you really want to feel the power of an american car again, thats when you pull out the ws6 =)
