The only good thing about using a Ford engine, is that the distributor is in the front. It's still sacrilegious though.

lol thats cool tho ive had 5 cars including the camaro and my parents have payed for 2, 3, and 4 my first car was free from my buddy and my ex gfs mom loaned me the cash for the camaro and im slowly paying that back

Yes. that is exactly one of the main turn-ons of using the 302. its gunna be a nightmare dealing with the SBC Distributor... cuz its going to need to be tuned!!

oh, and what would make the ford more expensive to do? im custom fabbing pretty much the whole setup even if i go with chevy. Hell, i bet it would be cheaper to use my 302, because i already have EVERYTHING for it to run. basically pull it from one complete running vehicle, and custom fab it into another. and delete all the unecessary stuff from it (A/C etc).

Sounds like you've got it all planed out. Now you just need to follow through...and keep us updated of course.

(And as an aside I joined CF because at the time MF had slowed down and "The Lounge" was a place to kill time. Thus my being a member here for 10 months and barely accruing a dozen posts that actually count. Plus i like to keep an eye on what the competition is doing )
