RE: Gears
I think all you need is a ring and pinion set. I would also have the seals replaced. If the rear is not a posi. whats the point. I dont know the state of your car, but in my opinion, I would only go to the 4:10 gear on a sound drivetrain and fresh motor.

RE: Gears
so wait...
how do i know if my car is posi? did they come stock with it?
Ok so id need a series 4 carrier(i thought it only went up to 3 something lol, all i have is whatever is stock), an install kit, and the actual ring and pinon?
and the motor has less than 2000 miles on it, and the drivetrain 100k
would 3.73s be better then?

RE: Gears
i dont know what ur carrier is, but yes, the Z's have posis stock. i think the 3 series is the smaller, so to go up to 4.10s u need a 4 series. im not sure about all that either. i outsource my gear work

RE: Gears
you can getthe packagefrom texas speeds and spect is rite for 4.10's you need a series 4 carrier so if your car has 3.42's you can move it up to 3.73's with this package > http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...54&catid=6
