Even when my engine was horribly ill, she still ran strong. Bad bearings, oil leaks, torn gaskets...and kinds of abuse from the previous owner...she never let me down.

Yes the turbo Trans Ams and Buicks were very quick, but the supercharged 3.8 in the 2000's were not very powerful. They only generated between 240 to 260 horsepower with a supercharger. My point is that the 3.8 stayed relatively the same in design throughout its lifetime. GM finally did the right thing by introducing the new 3.6 liter V6.

I would not get to excited about "NEW" V6's designs. GM tried to push a Performance 60 deg V6 once before back in the early 90's. The DOHC 200 HP 3.4, Wow what a stinker that turned out to be. The 3.6 shows promise but only time will tell if it is a worthy replacment to the 3800. At the end of its run the supercharged 3800 was 280 HP and 28 MPG. I do not think the 3.6 is that much better concidering the design is a 1/4 of a century newer.

ohhhhhhhhh i just assumed theyd put the LS7 in it but after researching they put the LS3 still 500 hp still fast (and if i had it my way it would be an LS7 the same exact one as the Z06 youd open the camaro hood and it would say CORVETTE lol)

I doubt that the driver of the newer Camaro raced you for real. The new V6 Camaro runs a quarter mile time of about 14.5 seconds while the 2002 Camaro V6 runs the quarter in about 16.0 seconds flat.
