Which Fuel Pump to buy

Default Which Fuel Pump to buy

Looks like I need new fuel pump. The check valve is not holdiong pressure.

Rock Auto has a Delphi for $168. Anyone have experience with this type or have better recommendation?

$168? Might as well go with the best and save some money while your at it.

Thanks.

I am not familiar with how the check valve works. I assume there is a check valve within the pump. In the link you posted it says this pump works with the existing check valve in the bucket.

My pump has plenty of pressure and always runs. When shutting car off, the pressure drops. It is not injectors or regulator, it is check valve. I assumed it was in the pump, but now confused.

Is the check valve in buck just to keep bucket full and there is another internal to the pump?

i used a aftermarket pump (walboro) that doesnt use the bucket. i installed it in the old bucket and plastic welded it back together. seems to be working. if or when i do it again i would use a stock oem that includes the bucket. the check valve in the bucket is just for the bucket. keeps the fuel from running out as fast as its goin in. check valve in pump is separate valve.

I just ordered an in-line check valve. I will install it near the filter. Really not wanting change the pump. worth a shot I guess.
