hi, my 02 3.8 camaro conv. has a fuel level gauge problem. i did a trap door exposure of the fuel pump assm .does anyone have schematic of the wiring to the pump assm. there are two plugs one three wire and one four wire .im trying to locate the level sender wires. thanks for any help.

you know the 4th gen fuel gauge is prone to running out of fuel at 1/8 to 1/4 tank at the gauge. my first 4th gen ran out a little over 1/8th tank. this one goes till it just gets to e. also 1/2 tank on the gauge is around 1/4 in reality.

 

The small plug is for the evap system sensor the large plug is the feed to the fuel pump and the sender in the tank. Sorry I dont know what color is what off the top of my head. The sender is nothing more than a variable resistor that can wear out over time.

the fuel level sender is wired to the ppl and blk/wht wires of the 4 wire plug. the pump wires are gr and blk.thanks for the help.
