Default fuel gauge/tank level

My gauge in the car goes beyond full. It never seem's to go beyond 3/4. Is it hard to remove the tank to fix this problem. Chilton's say's you must remove rearend Is that is true or is there an another way?

You would have to drop the rear axel down a good bit to get it out. I would say its not worth it just for that. You have to take your rear exhaust off too. Hope this helps.

My car does the same thing. Pulling the tank out sounds like its more trouble then what its worth, so I just pay attention to the milage between fill ups.
