Default Fuel Gauge

Yesterday I filled the car to full. Before that the meter was showing 1/4 .

But after pumping 6 gallons the tank was full, the meters shows full.

Where can I start to fix this problem ?

Thanks ...

You can fix the problem by redesigning your fuel tank or by applying a nonlinear voltage modifier to the electronic control that tells the PCM how much fuel there is...seriously though, it's a known issue with the cars. Is the tank showing that it's FULL (needle past the F) or is it just close to full? My gas gauge is pretty screwed up too, the top of the tank goes by really really slow on the gauge, and then it just plummets...

Mine stays at full FOREVER then all of a sudden it seems like its gone... ii dont go by the fuel gauge any more, just by miles. I usually get 275 miles out of a full tank
