Default ford fuel pump in a chevy...

i knew it was a bad idea but it was free

this ford fuel pump is not good enough or something i hear it kick on but it takes like 3 min of cranking to start the car then the car runs like sht so im just gunna breakdown and get a brand new pump but im deff not dropping the tank so i had a couple questions about the the hatch method first whats the best tool to cut this with second what do you guys do about the lines they run across the front of the tank and theres no disconnect there can i just cut them at the sending unit and then clamp it all back together with high pressure fuel line

lol i think the chainsaw might be a little to much but im pretty sure the only disconnects are all the way at the front driverside corner of the tank

The wire doesnt that i found, and yes if you reach under the front drivers side where the lines go, just follow them under there, then you will find the disconnect. and also yeah use a sawzall to barely open it up the use yellow handle snips, or straight snips as some call them lol.

lol ya this pump was free but now im starting to think my fpr may be going bad i dont know i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and it was getting about 16lbs during the crank then ill stop and the pump will run again and bring the gauge up to 19lbs then as soon as the pump stops i instantly lose pressure all tho the car does run better now than it did yesterday i could actually drive it... but anyways if i pull the vac line off the fpr the gauge just chills at 16lbs (while the cars running) it should go up to like 46 i think maybe even higher cuz this is off a V8 explorer
