Floor pans 97 RS
Hi,
my son has a 97 RS, nice car, but this winter he drove it , hit a pot hole and a piece of asphalt popped a hole on the rear floor. Upon looking at the rest we feel it needs to be replaced. However I was completely surprised when we could not find any replacement floor panels readily. So I’m asking if anyone has an info where we could find a full floor section or separate floor sections for a 97.
thanks for any help in advance.

Well 4th gen cars can be hard to find parts for both new and used, they are getting old but haven't really hit prime collector car status yet so repop parts like that are probably not available.
You best bet will be finding a solid donor car, something solid but not running should be fairly cheap to buy especially if it's na old v6 car needing paint and interior.
Just be sure the parts you need are solid, otherwise it's going to be expensive at a wrecking yard if they'll even do it.
Very few people restoring 4th gens other than '98-'02 Z28 or SS cars and more of those are being parted for their LS engines than are being restored.
Good luck with it,maybe you can find a sheet metal shop that can make some patch work panels if it's not too far gone for that.

Have you tried your local you pull it yards, Some will let you use a battery operated angle grinder to cut off what you need. Talk to the office first. At my yard there are several 93-97. They are picked over but the shells are there. You want to get in there asap because anything that came in over the winter will get pick over and before the weeds grow up.
