few quick questions???

Well the stock gear ratio is 2.73 for the automatic I believe? So divide 4.1 by 2.7 you get approx 1.5. Now divide the top speed (170) by 1.5 and you get 113. That's approximately what your top speed will be with 4.10s. Now I am not sure about the stock gear size, and the maximum speed. I am just using the numbers that came to mind without verifying them. With 3.7's you should get around 125, which seems ok. I personally would go with 3.4's for me just because I don't want to see my engine revving up in high RPMs everytime im on the highway. But since you say you are doing a lot of city driving 3.7's might work well for you.

Nothing like calling the kettle black on the research thing there Spartan. And what is your source for this 170 with 3.73's crap. If that was true then the car would do 232 with stock(2.73) gearing using the method that aleksandr did. Nothing against you personally but I think your source is wrong.
Yeah... i really should have done some research, but he wishes he bought something else when im just fine with my camaro and dont plan on buying anything else for awhile.
As for my sources. I dont remember the websites but all three of them had between 160-170. 170 being on the high end.

first of all i have always wanted a camaro but this one snuck up on me, one day i get a call from a friend who says that one of our local car lots had a camaro setting outside he had never seen there before and that the hood, fenders, and front bumper was in primer so i got curious and figured it was probably just a freshly repaired V6 car. and i went over there he said he never had planned on selling the car because he had so much money in it on repairs and that he has had it for 3 years and it just set in his building at home and was something he messed with when he got bored. but anyway to make a long story short it turned out to be a 1999 convertable orange Z28 other than it needing paint it looked damn near brand new! it has 71,243 miles on it and all the luxary options and i bought it for 4500 dollars and have already been offered 6500 for it LOL but im falling in love with it. the first time i really opened up the throttle i was doing about 28 mph and i damn near lost it! i looked in the rear view mirror to see the fat black marks on the road. anyway im posting pics tomorrow on the thread i posted about wondering if the color of the car is rare.
