Feeling a thud when pushing on gas
When working on my 96 camaro today I noticed kind of a thud when I push the gas. It's not just one thud it's continuous and increases as my rpm increases. It isn't a knock or tick I know what those sound like. You can more of just feel it and hear it in the car when you push in on the gas. I have some exhaust issues I'm not sure if that could cause it. Also not sure if it's related but I also have a vibration when I am driving. If I let off the gas the majority of the vibration goes away but when I get back on the gas it vibrates a bit more. I am stumped at the moment
Check to see if your transmission mount might be torn. When you get on the gas, the torque arm from the rearend lifts up on the tail of the trans. If the mount is torn, the trans will whack the body. I've had it happen, as have many others.
It was a common problem on 3rd gens too, they had the same torque arm set up. Problem with the 3rd gens is the smog choked engines didnt make the same power as the new ones, so they didnt break trans mounts as often. The 3.8L 4th gen can eat the old IROC v8s of the 3rd gen stock to stock.
Anyway I second... or third... or whatever the trans mount as well. This may also cause some exhaust problems as your engine is moving too much which will destroy the flange gaskets.

Does anyone know where i could get the bracket that the trans mount bolts into. I was going to replace it the other day and noticed the person before me must have hit something pretty hard and it bent the crap out of it to the point i can't put a new mount on it, and they chained the trans to the mount to keep it in place. I have looked and can't find where i could get a new one, and i don't know if i would be able to have the current one fixed
