exhaust set up?

exhaust set up?
ok so as you may know, i have a stock exhaust with just an SLP LM1 set up... would i benefit from getting Cutouts on my Y? and how do they work? From what i gather electric ones you flip a switch and they open up and redirect the air flow, but how to the standard ones work? do you have to like unscrew them by hand underneath the car?
and would this give any volume/performance gains with the already pretty free-flowing LM setup?
thanks guys

With a normal cutout you would have to get under the car and unskrew the plate that blocks off the open side of the cutout. With an electronic you flip a switch and it opens for you. Mechanical cutouts are cheaper and easier to install, but not as nifty and a little harder to deal with. If you put 2 in each branch of the Y before the cats you could probably get some HP because you would bypass some of the Y, but I wouldn't expect mind boggling gains.
