check both ends of your coil wire. spark may have found another place to release when it was hard to get one at the plug. look for spark trails at the coil where the coil wire plugs in, may be one on the plug. its a dark crack looking trail. lol
near the optispark where the other side of the coil plugs in is what ur saying?

i have had them burn on the coil end. ive seen a reg distributor coil wire burn on the cap end but not opti.

? what happen to the leak now we are on to another.. thing ,/what kinda miles you got on it ,.depending on how long all seals will leak ,an if you ever liked to get on it ,can be one after the other ,i would have gone with all the gaskets oil pan to ,an like said new plugs ,got them out few are not easy spend the $.50.00..or less for a set of plugs an. wires

cannot get new steam pipe anymore. used ones are around. yes you can replace the hose part. pain to get off but can do.

i fixed the leak by getting new valve cover gaskets. it no longer leaked. i solved the spark plug issue by redoing my spark plug job. i am unaware of any other seals leaking. i will recheck the underneath and see if i see any other leaking spots like the oil pan,rear main seal and those metal pipeing underneath the car. i have multiple little problems with my car that i am trying to fix. like the window motors,getting a squeal/squeak when turning hard.

i checked the coils i cant really see any physical burn marks/smells

is this the metal piping underneath the car? and if so how do i replace and with what? can i delete this steam pipe?

this is the pipe thats called the steam pipe. it goes allong the upper part of the head on the passsenger side. only pipe i know of under is the oil cooler pipe that goes to the oil filter location.

yes this is what i mean http://shbox.com/1/oil_cooler.jpg i want to replace that because i just inspected the udnerneath of the car and it seems like there is oil drip on there?

you can delete it so long as you use synthetic oil. i added a larger oil pan and relocated the filter to.
