I recently acquired a 1996 3.8 Camaro. I love the car but i want a better sounding exhaust. Whats the best kind to get and where can i get it? Keep in mind im working with a low budget. Thanks

 

nice to see you got yourself a camaro (: anyway when i owned a v6 firebird which was 1996. they both have the 3800 in them. i had flow master 80 series on it. it sounded really great on there for being a v6! it wasent to loud to the point were it sounded like a ricer burner. it was just right. I had one guy tell me it sounded better then his 86 vette. the whole set was 300 something. not a bad price.

 

pick yourself up a z28 exhaust, i had it on my 94 camaro with the 3.4 and loved it, i switched the muffler for a flowmaster 80

How do i find out what size flowmasater 80 series i need? just measure it?

 

Go to the flowmaster website. They are pretty good with stating what size you need for your vehicle.

 

stock exhaust is 2.5 in piping if im not mistaken
