I borrowed a scanner from a friends and I got a lot of codes and I need help with as many as possible. Please help!

22- TP sensor volt low
51- PROM error
72- Vehicle Speed sensor circuit loss
77- EGR 3 solenoid error
85- PROM error
90- TCC error
17- Camshaft Position Sensor error
35- Idle speed error
36- Ignition Ctrl 24x signal
66- A/C press sensor low

If ANYONE can help me, please do. I would greatly appreciate it.

 

Is the car still running?? Prom error indicates a problem with the PCM. Are you sure tha scn was properly done?

 

Yes the car is still running. I don't feel anything weird. And yes I did scan is right. I even scanned it 5 times. Tried erasing the codes too but it still popped up. I got a different scanner and it only came up with 1 code. Apparently the 1st scanner I used cost almost $2000 bucks and its "suppose" to have all these bells and whistles and the 2nd scanner I used was like $400 bucks

If you are getting a PROM error code, all codes are probably erroneous as the PCM has lost its mind, or could be the PCM is not programmed for use in your car, or the scanner is not set up properly. You have to be very careful with the fancy scanners as they are bidirectional and can ask the PCM to things it can't do, and make it look bad even if it is good. Work with the code the cheap scanner came up with first. What engine is in your car?

 

I have a 3.4L. I just used the cheaper scanner and it came up now with IAC problem. I replaced my Idle Air control valve and it still shows the same thing.

 

What is the DTC nunmber? Is the car running OK?
