Its been covered a bunch of times in old threads. It used to get asked twice a week. It can and has been done but you need to be a fabricator and make a bunch of parts. See the intake/throttle body comes out of the back of the super charger. Go pop your hood and look at where the back of you engine is. That would put the throttle plate about where your radio is.

After about 100 hours of work you will be out ran by someone with a 3800 with a Cam and headers.

The first step in making a L67 fast is to add an intercooler between the supercharger and the intake. In the Camaro the windshield is in the way.

So to recap, tons of work a crappy supercharger blowing hot air into a higher compression engine. It will get about 210 HP to the wheels. Or grab a low miles SIII 3800 stick a GT2 Cam and a long tube header and you will be close to 230 wheel HP.

yup sell the 2000 an save for a z28 ,now there is something you can work with 98 to 02 better choise is the ls1 engine over the 93-97 lt1 ,but there both good cars an you can get an old lt1 cheaper for the most part

Hmm ok so what do you suggest I do? I’ve heard people say swapping a v8 into a v6 built car is not worth it and I’ve looked into buying a z28 or a ws6 but they just are not that many around where I live and the very few that are for sale are priced ridiculously 14-20k although the 3800 is a lot of fun after awhile it kinda gets underwhelming I tried to find ways to get more power out of my v6 but from what I’ve read the only real gains you can expect is 15-20 horsepower

save your money and be patient and keep your eyes on the lookout, the right camaro will show itself in time.

there are some companys also that all they do is look at an inspect cars for people an there reputation is on the line ,i have a friend buys cars all the time that way,

also your search you could go out further for a z28 both mine i had to go over 100 miles to find the good price ,i have gone 250 miles one way to get a car ,sometimes you can fly in cheap an drive them home ,when there a great deal i have seen so many Z28 ss cars from 98-02 with less then 75k miles for around the 5 to 8k range,an better its tight time right place an full time job,but the deals are out there on 4th gens an yes some ask like way to much ,there is not classic car value on these yet ,just some will pay i guess

i also know what you meen about fun then is gets old after awhile in a 3800,one thing does not is the gas milage on them, though my 2002 z28 does well for v8 engine i think its 17 an 24 mpg craigs list an ebay ,mostly CL though
