Default Engine Replacement help LT1!

Hello guys, I am new to the forum. Recently I have bought a 1994 camaro z28 6speed. Very cool car. But after 3 days of having it the engine seized up. The mechanic thinks it was a blown head gasket. And the coolant was burned and then it over heated from lack of coolant. We are sueing the guy for theft by swindle because he claimed to be a mechanic. I looked up ways to enseize an engine. I put penetration fluid in the spark plug holes for a couple weeks. Then turned the crank with a breaker bar gently. It turned so I put the plugs back and fired up the camaro. It started up fine then started squeaking. Like a high Pitched bird chirping squeak. It is not the belts because I checking them. Also It started to knock. Looks like I will need a new engine I can only keep the car if i replace the engine myself in my garage with a couple of my friends and their dads that know cars. We are thinking about taking the engine out the bottom by lifting up the car with a hoist like how the manufacture does it. I found an engine on gotengines.com for $1600 with 52k miles. My questions are if there are any difficulties getting the engine out and back in. Thanks.

Court date is December 18th. Let you know the outcome

We won the case and all of our money

well be careful not to break parts an mark # them as you go along all bolts keep them with the parts they belong to ,should be no difficulties ,other then the pcm may not be the same for that engine there could be issues there , if its from a 94 , should be ok ,sounds like you got all there help you need ,be sure to post pictures ,you could go to projects an start a thread there,if had another grand you could have got 383 stroker on ebay $2500.00 remaned ,oh well we do what we can an what we got to work with, seeems good for low miles

Any challenges getting it out the bottom ?

And also, I am going to add long tube headers on the car. Should I install the when the engine is out or after I put it in

if you take it out from under yes i have seen people due it if you take out from bottom ,with mine ,we were also takeing out 90% of my wireing too,,couse with my swap I would not need ,just seems to me its longer to take out under the car an more to take apart ,then over ,you have to be able to lift the front of the car with a strap ,if you have an engine puller that helps , then pull it out still attached to the sub frame cross member wheels an all ,with all the help you got ,you should be fine either way ,dont forget to post pictures ,there are other threads hear of guys takeing it out from under ,in the projects section, post another thread in the projects section ,an if you if you do it well it could be used bye others
