engine quit and wont start
i'm sorry if i posted in the wrong spot i'm new to the forum;
i have a 1994 5.7 z28 and the other day i had my cruse set at 60 and the engine just shut off and wont start back up again. it does infact turn over, but wont even try to start. i was told it is probably my distributor system. any ideas before i tear into it?

Three things are required for an engine to start. Spark at the proper time, fuel in the right amount, and compression. One or more of these items is missing. So start looking. Most sudden engine failures are the result of an electrical problem which can stop ignition and fuel delivery, and outright mechanical failures such as a timing chain breaking or jumping teeth.
