The SS hoods are not going to be cheap anywhere you buy from. People who have them know what they're worth and retailers sell cheap aftermarket ones for about $400. I would try to get a used factory one.

you get what you pay for.... u buy a $600 hood it will fit better than new.. u get an off brand cowl-induction fiberglass hood it probably wont contour to your camaro body and will have huge gaps

in conclusion buy a nice ss hood! lol

Good luck getting a cheap SS hood. As said above you get what you pay for. There are several aftermarkey hoods out there that will fit but not fit good, There are a couple out there that fit just as good or better than OEM but you pay for that fit. OEM will be about $1200 from GM, and you will still need the shocks (they are not the same as the steel hood) and the screen for the intake. wrecking yards are prolly not going to be much luck since the car will be hit in the nose or the SS goodies stripped about an hour after it is put out. So be willing to pony up about $400 for cheap and up to $1200(+ the extras) for GM.
