Engine Low Speed Steering Shudder
Someone else might benefit from my experience:
I had this shudder/vibration/jumping feeling when turning the wheel hard left like coming out of a driveway. Now the problem is gone for me. This applies from '98-02 Camaros and Firebirds -- my issue is on the 3800 (VIN F), but it may be on V8s too...

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Condition/Concern:
1998 - 2002 Pontiac and Chevrolet FB 3800 engine Low speed steering shudder
Recommendation/Instructions:
Install longer hose, part number 26060001. The hose application is for a 1995 - 2001 JB with LN2, 2.2 engine. The JB hose is 20.5 inches (0.5 m) long as opposed to the 12 inch (0.3 m) long 3800 FB hose.
It should not be necessary to make any bends to this hose to install it.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
