This happened last night. i drove to work it was fine. i leave 8hours later turn my car on and its on. my lid and all that has been on there forever so theres no new mods that would of done it. what should i check? the car is running fine. idk..

stop by the local parts store and have them scann it for trouble codes. write down the code numbers and let us know what they are. what yr and motor?

 

hahahaha its impossible to diagnose an engine light by using mind tricks lol you have to scan it unless the problem is obvious or you throw parts at it

 

My dad said he has a code reader. i think when im done work im gonna go over there and his gonna scan it. its a 98 z

 

not sure the code reader will work on the 98 obd2. give it a try and if not, any parts store should have a scanner and should do it for nothing.

 

it did work. its my smog pump. i knew it was going bad i just been lazy with it
