Blinking CEL is an indication of random misfire. Most likely an ignition problem. It could also be a lean condition, and you may want to do a fuel pressure check. The "rev limiter" sensation you indicated, could also be due to a clogged exhaust system.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll try a new set of wires first, then work from there.

He said it wouldnt rev over 4000 in park. I thought our cars were supposed to limit the revs in neutral/park.

Default Coil Pack

I suspect a bad coil pack. I would switch the coil that you think is bad to another location, I.E. number 1, or something to that effect. Accelerate again and see if it misses under a load. If the check engine light comes on again and tells you it has a missfire where you just put the suspect coil, then you most likely know it is a bad coil. I had the same problem. Same fix, but you may want to perform a tune up so that everything is running properly, and has the same amount of wear and tear on it.

I would give it a complete tune up. check over coils new wires (good set) you don't have to go all out and get Taylors and new plugs that are recommended for you car. I have a 94 3.4 and the Platinum were recommended. and see what happens and like everyone else said get it scanned.

But I had some bogging down when driving and I would be fine and then it would Drop rpms quick and then just right back up. I learned that the person who owed it though never took care of the car so I just went nuts and started Replacing everything with all new parts. but the wires and plugs and a oil change deff took care of it.

I missed the park part. Yes most cars have a much lower rev limit when in park or neutral.
