Default eletrical problem?

I just got my 97 Camaro roughly 3 weeks ago and everything's been working great (I love the car). More recently however (the past 2 - 3 days) the volume on my radio has been erratic. When I try to turn the volume up it's could go down then up then down again and it's really a crapshoot what it'll end up at. I spent a good 10 minutes yesterday sitting in my driveway before leaving trying to get the volume down from 15 to about 5 (I got it down, but not before it going up to 30 -.- ). It's an aftermarket Kenwood radio / cd player. I was wondering who I should take it to? A mechanic or a store (Best Buy?) who specializes in car stereos?

Depending on the age of the radio, Kenwood would be your best bet if you plan on repairing it. Call them and ask what they charge to repair it. More than likely, it will cost about as much as replacing it.

After downloading the manual, I reset it. It seems to have worked, for the most part, but now the time is wrong (which I can deal with). Woo.

And no I wasn't sitting on the remote lol. It didn't come with one since I got the car used :/
