Default Electical issues

When I turn the car on the lights in the guages come on like they are supposed to. The odometer and trip meter light up like they are supposed to, but the radio doesn't light up and the window controls don't respond. The only button on the radio that responds is the recall button which makes the time appear for a few seconds then it dissappears. While this is happening the cigarette lighter and other plug are still functional. Usually after driving for a couple of minutes the radio comes on and the windows start working. They are not guarenteed to stay on though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently I need BCM removal for dummies. I have been prying on those clips for an hour and the only things I was able to budge are these...

I can't get anything else under there to budge. Any suggestions?

From what I have read you unplug the wires then slide out the BCM. The end result I am going for is getting the BCM out of it's holder

Thank you BasicConcepts and Craby. I finally just grew a pair and yanked on it and it came out. I reflowed the spots and now everything is functioning properly. A big thanks to Massey also for his thread.

New question. I drove my new camaro at night for the first time last night. when i turned the headlights on none of the backlights in the guages came on. Are they burnt out or is something else wrong.

That was the first thng I tried. The only response I got was the rear view mirror lights coming on when dial was spun up all the way. Also I forgot to mention that the mileage and trip computer are working and lit up.
