Default EGR question

I have a 94z convertible where the ses light comes on after the car warms up and along with the light the cooling fans come on too. The car runs fine with the only minor problem of a brief hesitation when the ses light comes on along with the fans while driving. I found out that after this happens and I turn off the ignition for only a minute or two and then restart the car the ses light will not come back on and I have drivin a hundred miles or more without incident or the ses light coming on again.

I had the car in the shop to scan and DTC32 came up. That is the EGR code so my question is with what I am experiencing does this seem like an easy fix where all they have to do is clean it or could it be more than that? I've been trying to find an honest shop for what seems like forever without much luck and would like to have the knowledge to negotiate a fair cost. I'd try to do the work myself but recent health issues prevent me from doing that.,..thanks for your input

could try taking the egr out and cleaning it and checking the intake manifold side for blockage.

yes they can fail, or just wear out.
