Drum to disc???
Yeah yeah I should just buy a 4th gen thats already got a v8 but I dont have that kind of money and this car only has 71k miles. So I feel like im up for the whole challenge of the v6 to v8. not what this thread is about... What id like to know is there any way for me to covert the drum brakes to disc brakes on the rear. I've seen many kits that are for much older Camaros but nothing for the 90s to early 00s camaros or am I just not looking hard enough???? then again thats why im here innit.

The process is not tuff, As suggested above all you need is the parts from a car that already has disk brakes in the rear. Even a chain parts store would have most of the parts you need if you wanted everything new. Where you really need to be carful is installing 20+ year old used brake parts on your car that have been sitting unused for who knows how long. . If you really want to do this it might be best to just buy the whole rear from a v8 car and get the disks and the posi at the same time. These cars are in you pull-it lots around me.
After all that as hinted at by Camaro69 the back brakes do not do a whole lot under hard braking. As you slam on the brakes weight is taken off the rear wheel and on to the front. 80% of the braking is done by the front brakes. The only real benefit from rear rotors is they will bleed off heat faster and are less likely to over heat in a track environment or down a mountain.
If you really want to improve your brakes you should think about upgrading to the 98-02 brake system. The front rotors are larger and the calipers are aluminum and duel piston, meaning the pressure is spread out on a larger pad and the caliper cools mush faster. They even put this on the V6s so all the parts should be available. If I was doing it this on a pre-98 car I would do the front and rear conversion and get the combination valve from a V6 car.
